Robot Vacuum cleaners are getting more popular and smarter day by day. By using infrared sensors and LiDar navigation and smart cameras, Robot vacuum cleaners have simplified the cleaning task. Although Robot vacs were introduced in the late 1990s, they were not smart to clean efficiently and miss out on large areas. Today, Robo-vacs use AI technology for navigation and cleaning and are connected to your smartphone. That’s why we have started reviewing them here for a while.
While there are many Robot Vacuums available on the market, in this article we are going to talk about Trifo Emma Pet. I’ll discuss its specifications, design, and performance. There is another great product from Trifo, the Trifo Ollie Pet you should check out.
Buyer Guide of Robot Vacuum Cleaner And Mop Combo
Before you buy any Robot Vacuum Cleaner, you should look for the following points to determine which one is the best option for you:
Only Vacuum or Mop Combo
When buying a Robot Vacuum, you will have to decide whether you need a Vacuum Only or a vacuum and mop combo or mop only. This solely depends on your needs. Most manufacturers are now offering a Combo and I think so it’s the best option.
Suction Power
Although traditional handheld vacuums have a high suction power of even 14000Pa, Robot Vacuums only offer a maximum of 4000Pa. This is an important point when you are considering buying a Robot Vacuum. Higher the Suction power, the better the cleaning.
Dust Cup Capacity
Robot Vacuums are made to facilitate you. So they must have enough duct cup capacity so that you don’t need to clean them frequently.
Battery Capacity and Runtime
A Robot Vacuum should have at least 90 minutes of runtime. So that it’ll clean the floor on one charge. It should also have an auto-charge and resume function, return after charging to where it stopped, and continue. If you have a large area to be cleaned you should choose a vacuum with high runtime of at least 2 hours.
Robot Vacuum should navigate to all areas and corners without missing. This is achieved by sensors attached all around and by LiDar technology and 3D sensors on newer models. This helps the vacuum to precisely detect furniture and obstacles and make a map while cleaning.
Easy Setup and App Integration
Most Robot Vacuums now support WiFi and easy setup via mobile app. You can remote control the vacuum and make zones, schedules and virtual walls, etc. everything from the mobile app.
Water Tank Capacity
This point is for Mop cleaners only. Look for a Robot vacuum with a reasonable water tank to mop the entire floor without refill.
Noise Level
While traditional vacuums make a lot of noise, Robot vacuum cleaners don’t make so much noise and most are quiet enough not to be noticed.
Pet Friendly
One of the problems most pet owners face nowadays is that pet hairs entangle in the brush. Also, pets get disturbed due to Robot vacuums. If you are a pet owner, you must choose a pet-friendly vacuum.
Price
The product you are going to buy must be within your budget and offer value for money.

Emma Pet Features
Emma’s smart sensors allow her to clean efficiently and effectively, moving around your home with confidence. She’s proven to clean up to three times faster than randomly navigating robot vacuums.
2. High-Efficiency Cleaning to Save your Time
4000 Pa of suction is two times more powerful than most robot vacuums. Perfect for picking up dust, dirt, pet hair, and more in a single pass.
Emma’s longer main brush and six-claw side brush create a 9″ cleaning path, which is wider to make quicker work of any room. A larger 600 ml dustbin means less frequent emptying.
Emma’s slim, 3.34-inch tall body allows her to easily remove the hard-to-reach debris, dust bunnies, and pet hair hidden under beds and couches higher than 3.8 inches, which makes her the perfect assistant in your life.
3. High Capacity Battery & Self Charging
Emma’s 2600 mAh lithium battery keeps her vacuuming for up to 110 minutes. When she’s tired, Emma automatically returns to her charging base to prepare for the next cleaning.
4. Smart Home Integration for Easy Voice Control
Emma works seamlessly with Google Home and Alexa, so you can start and stop cleaning with your voice.
Voice commands include:
Say “Alexa, turn on Emma” or “Hey Google, turn on Emma” to ask Emma to start cleaning.
Say “Alexa, turn off Emma” or “hey Gooogle turn off Emma” to ask Emma to the charging base.
5. Trifo Home App Control
With the Trifo Home app, you can create and control cleaning schedules, suction power, Emma,s Voice volume, and monitor the cleaning status. Enjoy all abilities of Emma through our easy-to-use Trifo Home app.

Trifo Emma Pet Design
Emma Pet has a round design like almost all other vacuums out there. It is only 3.34 inches tall. There is no LiDar Navigation sensor on the top. It’ll definitely affect its performance but allows it to go underneath the furniture.
The top lid of the Emma Pet has a metallic matt finish, surrounded by black color covers which makes it look very stylish. The On/Off and Home buttons are located on the top.
When you open the lid, you will find the dustbin, WiFi indicator, and reset button. The dustbin has a capacity of 600 ml which is larger than many other competitors. It will easily take a week to fill up if you don’t live in a dusty environment. When it’s filled up you can remove it by pushing the button and empty it easily. The dustbin has a Hepa filter that needs to be washed when it’s clogged up.
On the front bumper, you’ll see glass housing sensors to avoid collision and obstacles during cleaning.
On the rear, you’ll see two vents that serve as air outflow.
On the bottom, you’ll notice two large wheels and one small swivel wheel, in between the wheels is the main brush, a small side brush, charging contacts, and a place for mop tank attachment.
Large main wheels allow Emma to cross barriers of up to 0.8 inches. So you don’t need to worry about getting it stuck. The small Swivel wheel is motorized and helps Emma to turn and navigate.
The large main brush provides a cleaning field of 9 inches. A large brush provides efficient and quicker cleaning than a small brush. Six-claw side brush propels the dirt to the main brush to be picked up.
The main brush is interchangeable with Pet Hair Extractor. You can the main brush and install the Pet Hair extractor easily if you have pets in your home or you have to deal with a lot of hair. This is the best feature of Emma Pet in my opinion.
There are also six anti-drop sensors on the bottom to prevent it from falling from stairs.
How to Setup, & App Overview
After unboxing you have to charge the vacuum to start using it. Trifo has a simple app you can download from Google Play Store or iOS App Store or the Download button below:
The Trifo Home app will guide you through the entire process of How to connect it or you can read the user manual. There are also video guides on Trifo’s youtube channel. Emma only supports 2.4G WiFi, so make sure you have this turned on on your router. You can also watch video tutorials on the Trifo Youtube channel.
Through the app, you can control the Robot manually, start or stop cleaning, set scheduled cleaning, control suction power, send for charging to the dock, and check for any software updates. The app is quite simple with fewer options although I would like to have more. It also has connectivity issues. I hope Trifo will improve it.
Vacuum Performance
The cleaning performance of any vacuum depends on its suction power. Most of the Robo-vacs have a suction power of 2500 Pa maximum but others are having 4000 Pa. The Emma Pet edition stands at the top of the list with its 4000 Pa suction power. Although you will mostly use it at 2000 Pa for hard floors but for carpets I would recommend using maximum suction for better and more efficient cleaning.
If you regularly use it you will get better results and hardly have to manually clean your house But remember that Robo-vacs are not for deep cleaning. You still have to clean manually after a few days.
Emma Pet does its cleaning job very well but there is a problem with navigation. It is sometimes stuck in a corner or under furniture and you’ll get notified by voice prompt and app notification. If you have carpet in some areas as I have, Emma will mostly be stuck in moving from floor to carpet. Also, it does not have a carpet detection mode to boost the suction when on the carpet.
Pet Hair extractor is a plus point I already told you. You don’t have to deal with a lot of hair tangled in the main brush and cut with scissors. So this is the best feature of Emma Pet I liked the most.
While working, it produces a minimum of 70dB of noise and more at high suction strength so it’s not the quietest vacuum.
Mop Performance
Emma Pet has a 100 ml water tank capacity and I believe that it should be more. It is enough for 2 rooms mopping only. There are 10 mopping cloths with it. They are washable and reusable. You can use simple tap water to refill the water tank but detergents are not recommended.
Emma Pet can do routine mopping only. It does make the floor slightly wet and does not leave noticeable marks. I would say that never expect proper mopping from any Robo-vac for now. Robo-vacs are not good for mopping.
Emma Pet cleans in an organized manner making loops. Its sensors allow it to map the whole house and avoid furniture and obstacles. It automatically slows down when approaching something, however, it may bump into the furniture. The reason is it doesn’t have advanced sensors like LiDar and 3D high-precision sensors.
One thing to note here is that it uses IR sensors to navigate and if there is something dark in its path it will bump into it because black doesn’t reflect IR.
Although its navigation is quite satisfactory, sometimes it got stuck under furniture or in a corner and has to lift manually.
Battery Life
It has a 2600mAh lithium battery and it is less than other models. Officially runtime is 110 minutes but it can vary if you are using it on full suction power. That’s fine because it also provides better cleaning and you don’t have to clean it twice. If you have a small house you will easily get a full clean on a single charge.
After cleaning Emma returns to the dock itself so you don’t have to pick it up and move to the dock. Make sure that the dock is not moved from its location and that there are no obstructions in between. It will take roughly 3 hours to charge fully.
Conclusion
Trifo Emma Pet is an affordable Robo-vac that can effectively clean a small house. Pet Hair Extractor is excellent and has high suction power with a large dustbin. It has a good design and builds quality but it lacks on the software side and navigation, Trifo should work to improve.
