Only Vacuum or Mop Combo

Dreame L10 Pro Design
In terms of design, Dreame L10 Pro is circular in shape like any other vacuum in the market for 3-4 years. It is made of plastic with a glossy finish on the top. It comes in two colors, black and white.
On the top, the vacuum has most noticeable LiDar navigation module and a lid covering dust bin and reset button. You can access the dust bin to clean it, it also notifies on app when its full. Three buttons on the top for WiFi Pairing, Power on and off and sending it to base station.
On the sides are additional sensors for navigation and 3D high precision sensor. On the other side, you can find the ventilation that also doubles as a speaker.
On the bottom, the vacuum has a big brush in the middle, charging contacts, wheels and a side brush. On one side, you can attach mopping pad. The water tank is inside the mopping pad. The microfiber cloth attached is removable and washable.
Setup And App Overview
The box includes a user manual that guides through the entire setup. Although, it is quite easy to setup and run.
The vacuum connects via Xiaomi Mi Home App. You can download it from Google Play Store, iOS App Store or APK from here. Connecting to vacuum to is super simple and app will guide you through the process.
The first step to connect is to put the vacuum in discovery mode by pressing the house and square button at once. Then use the scanner in the app to find the vacuum. After connecting, you need to connect it to WiFi by navigating to available networks.
It only connects to 2.4Ghz WiFi connections, so if you are using 5GHz then you need to switch to 2.4GHz or turn on both.
In the app, there are options for cleaning mode, remote control, map, scheduling, mopping, cleaning history and firmware updates etc.
During the first clean, it will take more time because it is mapping the floor, furniture and obstacles. You should keep the floor clutter less as much as possible. Because, robot has to remap if you place too many things after first clean and that will make the cleaning process slow.
You can also pair it with Alexa through the app easily and control most of the function by voice commands. Google assistant is currently not supported.

Vacuum Performance
Dreame Bot L10 Pro’s particular strong point is its 4000Pa suction power that outranks all the competitors. Although traditional upright vacuums have 14000Pa suction power typically, robot vacuums don’t offer more than 2000Pa. But Dreame Tech is an exception here, offering 4000Pa strong suction power.
L10 Pro has four cleaning modes; Quiet, Standard, Strong, and Turbo. Turbo mode will give you stronger suction, but with that comes higher noise levels and less battery life.
Standard mode is enough for regular cleaning and suction power is comparable to other vacuums.
Two brushes does the job quite well. Side brush throws the debris to the main brush for pickup.
Carpet Boost is another important feature which will automatically switch vacuum to Turbo suction when it detects that it’s on a carpet, and resume to normal suction when it leaves. Its great that L10 Pro can automatically switch because carpet needs a deep cleaning.
Even in the standard mode, L10 Pro operates quite well and picks up most of the debris even the larger one.
The wheels are large so L10 Pro can cross barriers of 20mm or 0.78inches without difficulty. Like all Robovacs, L10 Pro can go under the furniture easily due to compact size and less height.
The dust bin has 570 ml capacity that is more than any competitor. When it is full, you will get a reminder on app. It needs to be cleaned not more than once a week.
Mopping Performance
Mopping performance of L10 Pro is quite good although it is not for heavy duty, but it does the routine mopping effectively. The mop module has a removable microfiber cloth that needs to remove and washed from time to time. When Mop module is attached, the robot automatically detects the water tank and run in mopping mode during its next cycle.
You can schedule to mop after 2 or 3 vacuum cleans in the app. Dreame recommends three vacuum cycles before mopping to get good results. Also, you can define no-mop areas from the app. Because, Robot is not smart enough to detect carpet when mopping.
You can also control the water level for mopping from the app and choose between standard, medium and wet . The water tank has enough capacity of 270ml for one floor mopping if its isn’t too large. Although, you get a notification when dust bin is full, you’ll not be notified when water tank is empty. So, you need to take care of it yourself.
Thanks to Lidar sensor and 3D sensors of L10 Pro for its extraordinary navigation capabilities. L10 Pro’s Lidar sensor consists of two lasers while there are other sensors on the sides as well.
LiDar Sensor does exactly what its designed for and Dreame Tech claimed. It scans the surrounding, when a nearby obstacle is detected, it slows down and goes another way. It can scan from a distance of 8 meters according to Dreame.
It will still sometimes give the legs of chairs and sofa a light tap, but for larger obstacles, it mostly does very well. More importantly it does a great job at detecting edges and drops.
With L10 Pro, you don’t need to worry about removing obstacles and your stuff before cleaning. It will never bump into anything while cleaning. But you should remove any string or cables before cleaning.
Another important feature of L10 Pro is that it will not fell off of stairs. Thanks to the bottom sensor. I tried to manually drive it off the stairs but it didn’t well and stopped at the edge.
Battery
Dreame Bot L10 Pro has 5200 mAh battery and according to the company, it lasts 150 minutes without a break. It will cover 2,690 square feet area in a single charge. Of course, that is for standard mode, Turbo mode will consume more power and you will get less runtime.
The L10 Pro never run out of battery during my one week testing although mopping function is also going side by side.
When the bot is running out of battery, it’ll announce and return to the charging dock. Charging dock needs to be placed tight against the wall and low on ground. Charging typically takes 6-8 hours, it will automatically resume cleaning from where it left after charging. I think so that is a really useful feature and you don’t have to worry about its charging.
Final Verdict
Dreame Bot L10 Pro is a great choice in this price range. It has highest suction power, excellent LiDar navigation and mapping capabilities, real-time object tracking and promising battery life. I think so it gives you value for money and a good deal if you want to automate your everyday cleaning.
