Xiaomi Mi Band 6 with WhatsApp and Telegram Support will be Announced on March 29

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi Band 6 will be announced on March 29. The OEM will unveil its most-anticipated Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra at the event and will also display the new Mi Mix smartphone which is rumored to be a foldable smartphone.
Now, the manufacturer is bringing its smart band Mi Band 6 with support for replies in WhatsApp and Telegram. It’s exciting to see the new wearables coming at this time. Because, the Mi Band 5 was announced last July.

The company announced on Twitter to tease the launch of its new fitness tracker. The manufacturer is asking its fans if they are ready for the “Mi Smart Band 6” and inviting them to Xiaomi 2021 New Product Launch at 19:30 (GMT+8) on March 29. Although, the company didn’t told any details about the new health tracker. However, they shared a short video on Twitter showing the wearables in different colors and watch faces. Moreover, a poster from Weibo showcases the Mi Band 6 from a different angle.

Mi Smart Band to come with a SpO2 sensor and built-in GPS

The new wearable will be announced globally as Mi Smart Band 6, but in China, it will take the popular Mi Band 6 moniker. Both are pretty similar, but only the Chinese version is leaked to come with an NFC chip. Xiaomi offers support for cashless payment system through the Mi Band on its domestic market. Unfortunately, this support didn’t reach global markets yet. According to previous information, the new health tracker will feature a built-in GPS, SpO2 sensor, and 19 new exercise modes.

The SpO2 sensor is one of the most needed features in these days of pandemic. Because, it helps users to monitor their levels of oxygen. It’s a good way to track body deterioration. Another important addition is built-in GPS support. This will reduce the dependency on smartphones.

Another important feature is a Pomodoro Timer. It will allow you to control your smart home devices that use the Mi Home. However, it’s not clear if this will reach both global and Chinese variants.
