How to work with lessons?

After viewing a short tutorial open “Free Lessons”. Scroll down and select one of the chapters and click on a specific lesson that is available. We offer one or more free lessons from each chapter for users to try out – Basics, Liquids and Gases, Optics and Energy, so content for 6th, 7th, and 8th primary school grades.

Each lesson includes animation and an enjoyable complementary text. Animations come in various forms. Some portray physical phenomena in a loop, others are possible to control with black buttons next to the image (clicking or pulling), or by switching between different animations with arrows.

For a better understanding and memorization, all problems consist of questions that support critical thinking and encourage kids to an active discussion. Moreover, teachers’ guides and summaries for parents are part of lessons as well.

How to work with augmented reality?

You can also view animations through augmented reality (AR).

Print out a worksheet from our app (single worksheet for each lesson, or all at once by clicking on “Get worksheets” in the chapter menu) preferably in A5 format. Swipe over “Open augmented reality” and aim your smart device or tablet at the illustrative image (it is necessary to open the corresponding chapter in the app).

The Vividbooks app then converts the image into an interactive animation that appears on your screen. After viewing the animation and reading the text it is possible to fill out worksheets with new information and gradually create their own textbook. To make sure the AR technology works even after drawing in the worksheet it is advised to use lighter pencils instead of strong markers. The sheets should also not be folded or wrinkled for proper AR functioning.
