সপ্তম শতাব্দিতে কোরআন নাযিল হয়। মানুষ তখন প্রযুক্তিগত সীমাবদ্ধতার কারণে কুসংস্কার ও প্রাচীন উপকথায় বিশ্বাসী ছিল। তখন মানুষ মহাবিশ্ব, পদার্থ, জীববিজ্ঞান, মানুষের সৃষ্টি, বায়ুমন্ডলের গঠন এবং জীবন ধারনের প্রয়োজনীয় উপাদান ইত্যাদি সম্বন্ধে সঠিক কিছুই জানতো না। আল কোরআন হচ্ছে মানুষের জীবন ব্যবস্থা।

আল্লাহ তাআলার দেখানো হিদায়াতের (সঠিক) পথ চিনতে, সঠিক পথ ধরে চলতে, সঠিক পথের উপর অটল থাকতে, আল্লাহ তাআলার সন্তুষ্টি লাভ করতে, জান্নাতে যেতে এবং জাহান্নাম থেকে বাঁচতে আল-কুরআন ভিত্তিক জীবন গড়তেই হবে, গড়ার জন্য আমরণ চেষ্টা -রত থাকতেই হবে ।

এটা অনেকেই বুঝেন কিন্তু বিষয় ভিত্তিক (অন্তত অতি জরুরি ও প্রাথমিকভাবে ছোট) আয়াত শিখতে অত:পর জানার সাথে সাথে করণীয় গুলো করতে ও বর্জনীয় গুলো পরিত্যাগ করতে উদ্যোগী ব্যক্তির সংখ্যা খুবই কম অথচ (ইসলামী) প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞান অর্জন করার ব্যাপারে আল-কুরআন সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্বারোপ করা হয়েছে এমনকি ইসলামে পুরুষ ও নারী উভয়ের জন্য তা ফারজ ।

Humans did not know the exact thing about the universe, matter, biology, human creation, the structure of the atmosphere, and the essential elements of life. The Qur’an is the system of human life.

To know the (right) path of the guidance shown by Allah, to follow the right path, to remain steadfast on the right path, to seek the satisfaction of Allah, to go to paradise and to escape from hell, we must build a Qur’an based life.
